In 1842, as a result of the signing with the Treaty of Nanking, Amoy was specified as a investing port in Fujian. Amoy and Kulangsu swiftly developed, which resulted in a significant influx of people from neighboring parts including Quanzhou and Zhangzhou. The combination of those various accents shaped the basis for that Amoy dialect.In 1908, Amoy
